Getting back to work
Well, winters close to being over and we are getting started again. Chelsea and Josh hired Dave Henderson and his brother to go in and gut some of the areas that we will be rebuilding. It was not a pleasant job...removing old plaster.
The kitchen area now is opened up and ready for a header that will make two rooms into one large kitchen. Perry, Chelsea's uncle, will be doing most of the more difficult carpentry in the kitchen installing the header and framing up new walls within the exterior walls. The plan is then to begin wiring and installing new plumbing for the new kitchen design.
After visiting the Home Show at the mall, Chelsea and Josh are seriously concidering removing the boiler and installing a new gas forced air furnace. The expense was not included in our original estimates but they realize the need for a more efficient heating system.
As it warms up we all will be working on the interior hoping for a move in date this summer!
